Prepared 8 November 2026 (Australia/Brisbane). No price, review or roof-material share is invented for Daisy Hill.

Where this applies

Logan City Council lists Daisy Hill, and its parks directory places Daisy Hill Conservation Park on Daisy Hill Road in 4127. Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service says the park was gazetted as a conservation park in 2006 and sits in bushland between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The park is not the suburb’s housing, and a bushland edge is not a roof specification.

Housing and roofs

The 2021 Census Suburbs and Localities release for Daisy Hill (Qld) (SAL30787) records 6,925 people and 2,586 private dwellings, 2,405 of them occupied. Of those occupied dwellings, 2,060 (85.7%) were separate houses, 248 (10.3%) were semi-detached, row or townhouse, 25 (1.0%) were flats or apartments, and 72 (3.0%) were other dwellings. In the same ABS table, 74.8% of occupied Queensland private dwellings were separate houses. ABS applies small random adjustments, so the parts may not add to the total. That table does not record roof material, pitch or the year a roof was built.

Separate houses are a larger share here than the Queensland 74.8% figure, and the “other dwelling” share is also higher than Queensland’s 0.7%. That can mean a house roof, a townhouse roof or another dwelling type. It still does not say tile or metal. Houses next to the conservation park can have different tree cover and access from houses on a cleared street. Ask about that at the property.

Climate and storms

The Bureau of Meteorology identifies October to April as Queensland’s severe weather season. That is statewide seasonal context, not a warning that a storm will hit this suburb today. Check current Bureau warnings and the local disaster dashboard before you treat any checklist as urgent. The same Logan flood guidance applies: risk is catchment-specific. Daisy Hill’s bushland is a reason to ask about leaf and branch load in gutters, not a reason to climb the roof. During severe weather use the Logan Disaster Dashboard, not this page.

What to check

  • Ask which dwelling type is on the lot. The census mix is not your roof.
  • If the house backs onto bushland, ask how gutters, valleys and overhanging growth are treated.
  • Ask the inspector to separate parkland access from street access.
  • Check the Logan Flood Portal for this lot rather than assuming the suburb is one flood setting.
  • Do not use Springwood’s missing census count, or Shailer Park’s count, as Daisy Hill’s.
